In windows xp you can create pakage for installation. There is a hidden program for that. Click on start menu and type "iexpress" in the run box. Press enter. You will get the program. Using this you can create any self extracting packages.
Want to create your own recycle bin?. Go to my documents and create a new folder. Enter the following string as folder name.
MYBIN.{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E} . Now you will get a replica of recycle bin.

One of the coolest new features in Windows XP is its album thumbnail generator. By using this feature you can automatically places the appropriate album cover art on the folder to which you are copying music. When you download the album cover art from the Web, just save the images as folder.jpg each time and place them in the appropriate folder. Then, Windows XP will automatically use that image as the thumbnail for that folder.
By default, Windows XP is set up with passwords which will expire after 42 days. 14 days in advance, Windows will start warning you of this fact. If you do not want your passwords to expire:
- Go to Start > Run and in the text box type control userpasswords2
- Select the Advanced tab in the User Accounts window
- Press the Advanced button below the Advanced user management header
- Select Users in the Local Users and Groups
- In the right pane, right-click the user name for which you want to change the setting, and select Properties
- On the General tab, check Password never expires
- Click Apply and OK
You can make free calls from GTalk. However it can not be used in india at this time.For making free calls follow the steps given below.
- Open google talk on your desktop
- Click the add button to add number
- Type in the phone number of the person you want to call in the following format.
Use full phone number, including country code and area code:
ph-number@talkster.gtalk2voip.com (example USA,use 12125551212@talkster.gtalk2voip.com - If you’ve entered a valid number, it will be added to your contacts list and you will be able to make free calls to that number any time later.

Do you know that you can hide all your desktop icons. If you want to give nice appearence to your desktop by using buetiful wall paper, you canuse this trick. Actually this is simple. Just click on any free area on desktop and select Arrange Icons By and unckeck Show Desktop Icons. Here is the screen shot of this
If you have any secret software, it can be hide using the following tips.
1. Open your Registry editor
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall.
3. Now which software you want to hide, select that and double click on DisplayName in the right panel.
4. A new window will open with the name "Edit String".
5. Remove the software name from Value data.
